Carbon Quotient® (CQ) climate risk analytics are a revolutionary open-source application of well-established finance and accounting concepts to measure, manage and report climate-related financial risk and the transition to net zero. CQ analytics help investors and corporate managers make more informed capital allocation decisions by accounting for the financial risks and opportunities of the energy transition.
CQ analytics integrate forward-looking environmental and financial data to reveal the future that has already happened – unrealized (future) emissions embedded in long-lived tangible assets – and measure the risk that these assets will become impaired or stranded by the energy transition. They also incentivize decarbonization by comprehensively accounting for the financial risk embedded in corporate assets, power supplies, and supply chains.
